The Role


The Senior Consultant, Channel Marketing role represents an opportunity to partner with Relationship Management, Sales and Marketing to develop tailored marketing programs for select channel/firm partners.  This position will be expected to lead conversations around client needs/objectives, develop marketing strategies to support those needs, and ultimately execute on those strategies on behalf of our key clients.  The person in this role will be expected to provide subject matter expertise on complex initiatives happening across marketing and offer proactive recommendations on how to apply them to unique client situations. S/he will be expected to develop and implement effective marketing plans that help achieve business goals and drive market awareness of Lincoln’s products.



  • Strong understanding of the dynamics of Lincoln Financial Network or independent broker dealer firms
  • Experience working with MGA or similar B2B partners
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the advisor mindset and drive engagement



    • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
    • Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
    • Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
    • Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
    • Provides direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability of his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
    • Develops and implements complex marketing plans, in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders, which are driven by assigned area(s) of responsibility’s business goals.
    • Identifies and recommends solutions to complex marketing issues and/or concerns.
    • Serves as a subject matter expert and partners with internal stakeholders to develop and implement new complex marketing approaches which enhance and maintain the competitive position of his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility in the marketplace.
    • Creates related complex communications and marketing collateral, in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders, that support consistent enterprise core messaging and business goals for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
    • Communicates complex marketing plans and ensures they are understood by all stakeholders and team members.
    • Ensures complex marketing collateral content is accurate, relevant, and consistent in terms of style, quality tone of voice, and which optimizes market awareness of Lincoln’s products and/or services.
    • Builds relationships and partners with key internal stakeholders to elicit and capture complex marketing business goals and ensure all marketing tools, collateral and plans are in alignment with the business goals and objectives
    • Directs development of complex marketing materials.
    • Analyzes and guides the development of complex performance metrics and benchmarks to track and assess the effectiveness of assigned marketing plans to management and/or appropriate internal stakeholders.
    • Leads and/or directs complex marketing projects from inception to execution including but not limited to: project planning, resource planning, change management and communications planning, managing changes to the project scope
    • Utilizes resources to ensure that complex marketing collateral is compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements and is consistent with Lincoln editorial and branding standards.


Education & Experience

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
  • 5 - 7 years experience in marketing that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)
