General Purpose of Job

This role will provide subject matter expertise and direction to develop and implement complex 3rd-party digital platform technology/digital projects/initiatives in support of Lincolns annuity product strategies. They will lead the definition of 3rd-party digital platform technology/digital solutions that enhance Lincolns annuity product positioning in the market and drive growth. This role will develop and maintain relationships with digital technology providers and lead internal resources in the execution of project deliverables and on-going support of Lincolns annuity product portfolio goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborates with internal teams, including product development & pricing, marketing, sales, operations and/or strategy, to understand and document current & emerging complex third party technology needs & pain points; develops roadmaps to solutions
Creates criteria & metrics to evaluate success of third-party technology/digital initiatives to ensure favorable ROI for Lincoln
Advocates for focus on the customer experience and provides feedback to third party providers to enhance digital interactions and meaningfully differentiate Lincolns products from competitors
Identifies complex project resourcing needs and facilitates the procurement of needed hardware/software and human resources
Develops and manages relationships with third party digital platform technology/third party digital providers; sustains partnerships as products & technology evolve
Collaborates with third-party providers & internal stakeholders on budgeting & resource alignment, communications, and other planning activities to ensure successful outcomes of projects/initiatives
Leads the development and execution of complex third-party technology/digital initiatives to facilitate growth, supports overall product strategies while developing roadmaps to viable solutions
Monitors and validates budget expenses for projects and third-party providers, including assessing impact of potential, future expenses
Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Mentors and shares knowledge with junior team members; provides training & development opportunities, including stretch assignments; gives honest & open feedback to aid in talent development
Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
Manages resource capacity for his/her assigned area, including forecasting future resource needs for the team
Provides direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability of their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Provides subject matter expertise & market intelligence to internal teams on evolving technology capabilities
Provides guidance to products team(s) to ensure products are compatible with and can fully leverage the functionality of technology platforms
Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
Represents Lincolns interests and advocates approaches to ensure third party platforms accurately and favorably position Lincolns product features & value to enhance visibility and maintain brand integrity
Regularly conducts and/or directs research to explore alternative technologies/platforms, assesses how they may meet current & future needs, and makes recommendations to management
Serves as a liaison and primary contact for third-party providers to resolve complex issues; proactively identifies potential impediments, implementation process improvements and proposes plans to mitigate

Other Skills and Abilities

Education

4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) - Minimum Required

5 7+ Years experience in marketing, sales, and/or product development directly aligned to the specific responsibilities for this role (Required )

 

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid/Home : Employees will work from home generally three days each week and come into a Lincoln office on a schedule their manager will help set, following any applicable in-office training period determined by their manager.
