The Role at a Glance

As a Sr. Consultant, Business Process Improvement, you will provide subject matter expertise and direction on complex projects/initiatives in the Group Protection Underwriting systems and tools space. You will also act as a subject matter expert to applicable internal/external stakeholders and represent Underwriting on various cross functional initiatives. You will research trends and opportunities and help to develop complex programs and processes to close gaps and ensure growth, working with stakeholders to prioritize work appropriately. You will consult and collaborate with stakeholders to enable delivery of business results through project work to support process changes and performance management strategies.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments incurrent and future solutions.
  • Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
  • Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects.
  • Provides direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability.
  • Researches and analyzes complex performance data for business and analytical value.
  • Determines and communicates research recommendations to complex problems and supporting analysis to management.
  • Consults and acts as a subject matter expert to management and key stakeholders on identified process improvements that impact efficiency, departmental capabilities and/or return on investment.
  • Develops complex business requirements.
  • Consults and acts as a subject matter expert to appropriate internal and/or external stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Identifies, documents and delivers findings that can support complex business process improvements, performance and/or customer experience improvements.
  • Maintains tracking, measurement and accountability programs for various initiatives.
  • Provides timely updates to internal and external stakeholders regarding relevant information from other areas across the enterprise.
  • Responds to complex inquiries and needs from other business units and enterprise divisions.

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:

  • Experience in Business Process Improvement including project management experience and/or work experience which directly relates to the responsibilities of the position.
  • Proficiency in Underwriting systems, tools, and processes (Quest and UWWB platforms)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, VBA coding is a plus.
  • Experience or understanding of the Agile IT development methodology.
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)

Pay Range: $93,300 - $169,700 

 

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
