The Role at a Glance

As the Sr. Consultant, Product Marketing will provide subject matter expertise and direction on complex group benefits product marketing projects/initiatives. You will develop and execute complex digital marketing campaigns, with focus on go-to-market tactical plans and industry launches for group benefits products. You will also lead the definition and execution of messaging, product positioning, content, sales enablement, and marketing campaigns.

What you'll be doing

  • Develops and oversees the execution of complex and detailed go-to-market product marketing plans that effectively position, differentiate, and promote Lincoln’s products with key audiences
  • Brings Lincoln’s group benefits products’ value and importance to life through storytelling for use in new business and retention situations, as well as through sales and service collateral and industry promotion 
  • Analyzes and develops complex performance metrics and measurement plans to evaluate success and maximize ROI for each enhancement
  • Collaborates and serves as a trusted marketing advisor to critical cross-functional business partners, most notably in Product and Distribution, in the product ideation process and provide input concerning market opportunity and product positioning to drive profitable growth 
  • Creates relatable, easy to understand marketing assets including collateral, web pages, videos, promotional e-mail, social and sales enablement 
  • Manages the introduction and deployment of new group benefits products and enhancements including the timing of all communication and marketing resources
  • Monitors and evaluates product performance & customer feedback; shares with Product. Development for further product refinement and/or generation of new product ideas
  • Proactively supports Sales and Account managers by creating high quality product promotion and marketing collateral. Provides subject matter expertise in the design of new marketing materials to give Lincoln a competitive advantage
  • Develops sales concepts that will drive significant revenue and support retention and growth
  • Works closely with Sales and field advisory councils to identify new marketing ideas that offer the greatest sales potential

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:

  • 5 – 7+ Years of experience in product marketing directly aligned to the specific responsibilities for this position
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) in business, marketing, or communications

Nice-to-haves:

  • Group benefits product marketing experience 
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures
  • Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations
  • Evaluate trends in data or information
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and recommend processes improvements
  • Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches
  • Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among senior/executive management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding

Pay Range: $90,300 - $164,700 

 

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
