The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on an experienced Scrum Master in one of the following Lincoln locations: Radnor, PA, Greensboro, NC, Fort Wayne, IN or Charlotte, NC. 
  
This position will provide subject matter expertise and direction on complex projects/initiatives to ensure Scrum theory, practices, and rules are understood and enacted. As the Scrum Master, you will support two or more scrum teams within a fast-paced application development environment while adhering to Scrum principles. You will lead complex large scale and/or enterprise-wide Agile programs and coordinate with various program support teams.

What you'll be doing

  • Directing and enhancing organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives. 
  • Identifying and directing the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit. 
  • Providing subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects. 
  • Providing direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability of assigned area(s) of responsibility. 
  • Leading two or more Scrum teams facilitating progress toward delivery goals using Agile practices and coordinating with other non-scrum teams involved in the effort. 
  • Managing budget and schedules for assigned programs/projects. 
  • Identifying dependencies and removing impediments to scrum team’s progress. 
  • Facilitating core Agile ceremonies with two or more teams (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Demo, Retrospective and Backlog refinement). 
  • Reporting on Agile metrics such as velocity and cycle time. 
  • Managing internal and external communication, improving transparency, and communicating information throughout the organization. 
  • Facilitating collaborative sessions with internal clients and/or external vendors on complex/large-scale projects to formulate creative and practical solutions to software challenges. 
  • Fostering assigned scrum teams to self-organization; ensuring and supporting empowerment of the team. 
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution. 
  • Keeping the teams focused on the Sprint and achieving Sprint goals. 
  • Coaching their scrum teams and other scrum teams to support Agile adoption and application of principles. 
  • Identifying and recommending process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality. 

What we’re looking for

  • 5 – 7+ Years of experience as a scrum master leading multiple software development project teams to deliver high-quality software solutions using Agile techniques 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) in IT or related business field   
  • Thorough understanding of multiple SDLC methodologies with an emphasis on Agile. 
  • Experience managing multiple teams simultaneously in an Agile environment, including onsite and remote team members. 
  • Experience managing product and sprint backlogs, and executing effectively and efficiently using Agile techniques such as Scrum or Kanban. 
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc. 
  • Experience with Scrum Coaching of assigned scrum teams. 
  • Strong experience in managing multiple custom software development efforts. 
  • Knowledge of enterprise Agile management tools. 
  • Proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches. 
  • Demonstrates the ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential.

The pay range for this position is $93,300 - $169,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
