The Role at a Glance

 

This position will provide subject matter expertise and direction on complex projects/initiatives for our Managed File Transfer Systems, with a focus on Connect:Direct and Sterling platforms. This position will provide subject matter expertise and direction to manage the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure within our organization.

 

What you'll be doing

 

  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
  • Experienced Networking knowledge including TCP/IP, peer-to-peer, RPC, shares, FTP and SFTP
  • Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Configures, installs, maintains, and performs upgrades to server software and systems, with a preference towards automation first.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert to administer and maintain security of systems within area of responsibility
  • Applies advanced knowledge to measure and manage system capacity, performance and scalability
  • Maintain software and technology currency including system modernization, migration, and transformation
  • Good knowledge of AWS/Cloud Computing (Knowledge of Azure or GCP a plus)
  • Strong Managed File Transfer (MFT) capabilities. This position is responsible for designing and maintaining the existing file transfer system MFT product and modules such as IBM Sterling, Axway, Informatica Enterprise MFT, GoAnywhere, AWS Transfer Service.

 

What we’re looking for

 

Must Have

  • Knowledge of protocols including SSH, FTP, C:D, C:D Secure+, HTTP/s, and AWS.
  • Knowledge of File Transfer design patterns and data engineering best practices
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with security and industry standards 
  • Architect the current Sterling File Gateway MFT system. 
  • File transfer technologies such as; sftp, Connect:Direct, Connect:Direct Secure+, and Sterling File Gateway.
  • Experience (and enjoyment) working with emerging technologies
  • Experience with automation and devops capabilities such as Ansible, Gitlab or similar
  • Analyzing scripts/ automated processes on UNIX/Linux based systems and Windows

 

 

Level: P4 

 

Pay Range: $100,201-156,800k 

 

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
