We are excited to onboard a MuleSoft Developer to our Salesforce Center of Excellence team to work remotely.
Background Details:
Lincoln’s IT organization is adding a MuleSoft Developer to implement new solutions and enhance current ones for Lincoln’s Workplace Solutions organization. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a team that has fully embraced the agile methodology and DevOps. As an developer, you can expect to design and implement custom solutions, integrating multiple applications and technologies, including within the Salesforce and AWS spaces. Additionally, you will serve as a trusted advisor and help ensure governance across our teams.
What you'll be doing
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand integration requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and deploy MuleSoft integrations and APIs to meet business requirements.
- Architect and Implement integration solutions that are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
- Perform unit testing, performance testing, quality assurance, and debugging of MuleSoft applications
- Manage, deploy, and monitor Mule applications on cloud or on-premises environments.
- Review solutions and recommend improvements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues and business partners to create proofs of concept.
- Create and maintain architectural artifacts depicting the MuleSoft ecosystem.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of the latest MuleSoft features, platform features, and industry trends, and continually improve learning through training modules or certification.
- Handle changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and work within tight timeframes and deadlines.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members to meet delivery objectives.
- Participate and engage in Agile methods, ceremonies, and best practices.
- Analyze and understand abstract use cases or business requirements, with the ability to transform them into technical deliverables.
- Implement best practices for API design, development, and governance.
- Troubleshoot and debug integration issues to ensure smooth operation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders.
What we’re looking for
Must-haves:
- 5+ years' professional experience in building integration projects using Anypoint Platform, including MuleSoft Runtime, Anypoint Studio, Anypoint Exchange, and Cloud Hub.
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in Java development and familiarity with other programming languages.
- Strong understanding of API design principles and RESTful web services including use of use of different mule connectors.
- Strong understanding and experience with security implementations (e.g. SSL/mutual SSL, SAML, oAuth).
- Experience with integration patterns, message queues, and asynchronous processing.
- Experience with creating and understanding UML diagrams.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience in integrating with Salesforce and AWS
- Required (at least one): MuleSoft Certified Developer or MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect
- Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and Git.
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within an agile team
Nice-to haves:
- Development or architectural experience within the Salesforce Platform.
- Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud.
- Experience within the Financial Service industry.
- Salesforce and/or AWS Certifications.

The pay range for this position is $93,300 - $169,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
