The Role

The Sr.Salesforce Product Owner will be a critical member of the Center of Excellence in the Customer Experience organization. This role will collaborate with the Salesforce Product Manager, technical Product Owners and the Salesforce Agile team to define and deliver on the strategic roadmap. The Product Owner will manage epics, document user stories, prioritize the backlog and evaluate current processes to create solutions to meet needs, goals and objectives of the business.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintains deep knowledge of Salesforce CRM and technical capabilities with an ability to participate in technical integration and product features discussions.
  • Executes on Salesforce product strategy and roadmap as determined by business leaders, stakeholders and user groups. Contributes to the roadmap development.
  • Leads ongoing optimization of the Salesforce CRM platform and identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements including data processes.
  • Partners with training to communicate new releases with the user groups and business.
  • Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to team members and stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Leads requirements gathering effort on epics and documents story details based on the epics.
  • Directs, advises and collaborates with internal stakeholders to determine Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and goals. 
  • Proposes solutions to stated business problems, assesses alternative solutions and identifies gaps based on knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Translates and conveys the overall business vision into technical requirements and tactics for development.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders, user groups and/or management to gather and support prioritization of complex requirements, providing recommendations, as appropriate.
  • Serves as key decision maker on priorities of Salesforce backlog and works to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned at each stage of the development lifecycle.
  • Manages dependencies in and across sprints and releases.
  • Provides direction and collaborates effectively with appropriate stakeholders on complex issues and conflicts that impact time, cost, scope, quality and risk of assigned projects.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to clarify development requirements.
  • Serves as a mentor and shares knowledge with more junior team members.
  • Leverages data to influence and measure the overall adoption strategy to ensure deliverables, ROI, and key objectives are met.

Education

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) - Minimum Required

Experience

  • 5 - 7+ Years of experience in Business Analysis, Project Management, or a product-related role within a development team that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce
  • Finanial Services experience a plus
  • SAFe experience preferred
