The Role at a Glance

As Vice President of Facilities & Real Estate, you will shape and lead the enterprise strategy for a high impact portfolio of facilities, campuses, and real estate assets that are essential to the organization’s success. This is a highly visible leadership role for a strategic operator who can connect long term vision with flawless execution across complex, fast paced environments.

 

You will influence how the organization grows, operates, and invests by ensuring its physical footprint is safe, efficient, resilient, and built to support the future of the business. From portfolio strategy and capital planning to campus operations, expansions, and major projects, you will lead initiatives that directly enable workforce performance, business continuity, risk management, and long-term value creation.

 

This role is ideal for an experienced executive who thrives at the intersection of strategy, operations, and transformation and who is energized by leading large-scale environments where reliability, service excellence, and growth readiness matter every day.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the long-term facilities and real estate strategy in alignment with business goals, growth plans, and workforce needs
  • Advise senior leadership on facilities, real estate, capital investments, and portfolio risk
  • Evaluate space utilization, portfolio performance, and future site needs across owned and leased properties
  • Ensure facilities and real estate strategies support business continuity, scalability, and sustainability
  • Oversee day to day facilities operations across large, complex, high impact environments
  • Ensure all facilities, campuses, and infrastructure operate safely, reliably, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable standards
  • Lead preventive maintenance, asset lifecycle planning, and service delivery to reduce disruption and downtime
  • Direct emergency response, life safety, evacuation, and business continuity preparedness
  • Establish and monitor operational metrics, service levels, and risk indicators
  • Lead multi-year capital planning for facilities, infrastructure, and major equipment
  • Oversee expansions, new construction, renovations, and phased build outs from planning through operational readiness
  • Maintain accountability for project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and outcomes
  • Establish governance for capital approvals, reporting, and performance management
  • Manage operating budgets and capital plans, including forecasting, variance management, and cost optimization
  • Support financial analysis for leases, acquisitions, dispositions, and major investments
  • Lead site selection, leasing, renewals, acquisitions, and dispositions in partnership with Finance, Legal, and Human Resources
  • Negotiate real estate agreements to maximize value, flexibility, and cost efficiency
  • Manage relationships with landlords, brokers, developers, and external advisors
  • Assess portfolio opportunities for consolidation, expansion, and strategic repositioning
  • Embed sustainability, energy efficiency, resilience, and enabling technologies into facilities and real estate strategies
  • Support ESG goals through facilities initiatives that enhance operational performance and asset longevity

What we’re looking for

Must-Haves

  • 12+ Years experience in facilities, real estate, workplace operations that directly aligns to the specific responsibilities of this position.
  • 5+ Years of senior management experience in a large complex organization including influencing senior management and critical stakeholder responsibility.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Ability to travel 25% in support of business and role related responsibilities
  • Deep expertise in facilities operations, real estate portfolio management, capital planning, and regulatory compliance
  • Proven ability to develop and execute enterprise facilities and real estate strategies that support business goals, growth, and workforce needs
  • Strong experience leading large-scale campuses, complex facilities environments, and major expansion, renovation, or construction initiatives
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including management of operating budgets, capital expenditure plans, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost optimization
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and change leadership skills, with the ability to build alignment, adapt quickly, and drive results in a dynamic environment

The pay range for this position is $161,000 - $292,800 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
