The Role at a Glance

This role will provide strategic leadership required to manage the financial budgeting, forecasting and analysis to meet the financial objectives for the Information Technology division. They will provide leadership to accurately & comprehensively gauge current operating performance & risks of the functions. They will provide leadership for recording & reporting financial progress for Information Technology and ensuring the continuing control & protection of its assets. This role will work closely with internal leadership to create an integrated & comprehensive view of the organization’s financial position.

What you'll be doing

  • Develops an overall strategy and provides leadership to manage the organization’s finances, gauge operating performance and risks, and report on  financial results of the Information Technology organization.
  • Creates infrastructure, to appropriately oversee the expenses related to the budgets, aligned with the overall business plans
  • Oversees effective internal control of the teams’ finances for IT to ensure an accurate reporting of its financial position.
  • Provides oversight of the administration of IT’s expense budgets by approving certain expenditures, initiating process improvements and managing cost, working collaboratively with leaders across the organization.
  • Leads the identification of financial risks related to IT, and then the design, development, and implementation of mitigation plans
  • Provides senior and executive leadership with monthly, quarterly and annual reviews of the organization’s financial status and progress in its various programs and activities
  • Ensures the preparation of and communicates assigned functions’ financial performance to Lincoln Financials’ leadership team, and others as required
  • Mentors a high performing team, providing thought leadership and guidance as the function presses forward with transformational activities related to Finance.
  • Meets all objectives pertaining to quality, compliance, regulations, productivity, customer service, budget, and project management
  • Focuses on performance to goals and identifies areas for improvement and concern
  • Provides leadership for financial planning related to the assigned functions
  • Provides oversight to ensure that the proper governance is applied to all functions and actions,.
  • Provides thought leadership and functional expertise to internal stakeholders.
  • Contributes to business unit/operational and enterprise strategy creation for IT.

What we’re looking for

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
  • 12+ Years’ experience in accounting, analysis, actuarial and/or financial reporting or related function, including at least 5+ years of senior management, strategy, and influencing senior management/critical stakeholders

  • Advocates effectively, readily command attention and respect in groups as demonstrated by people listening to and getting on board with initiative

The pay range for this position is $157,000 - $285,600 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
