The Role at a Glance

This role provides strategic leadership, direction and functional expertise on complex finance projects/initiatives related to Lincoln Financial Networks (LFN) Wealth Management division, including advisor acquisition, retention, new markets and technology. This individual will provide concise and reliable financial analysis related to capital deployment, ROI and competitive positioning to LFNs senior leadership team in the face of ambiguous and uncertain information.

What you'll be doing

  • Directs/executes approved strategy decisions and contributes to strategy creation for Lincoln’s Wealth Management division
  • Implements, evaluates and interprets highly complex economic trends and conditions which affect the financial services industry to contribute to short-term and long-term Wealth Management policies and plans.
  • Executes the evaluation process of the organization's opportunities to deploy capital to achieve growth objectives within Wealth Management.
  • Provides strategic direction to build and enhance the capability for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Contributes to the development of LFN operational plans.
  • Leverages Wealth Management expertise to strategically improve financial and business results.
  • Directs a team to ensure the LFN Finance functional area meets all objectives pertaining to quality, compliance, regulations, productivity, customer service, budget, and project management.
  • Contributes to the establishment of organizational goals, objectives, and operating procedures of the LFN Finance functional area.
  • Ensures a culture of diversity & inclusion is maintained and promoted throughout one’s circle of influence

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:

  • 12+ Years Wealth Management industry experience in a finance, investment management, or strategy role
  • 5+ years of managerial, strategy, and/or demonstrated leadership experience influencing sr. management/critical stakeholders
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully hire, retain, develop and coach staff via a culture of real-time performance feedback, with ability to build both technical and leadership skills. 
  • Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior/executive management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.  
  • Demonstrates strong project management leadership skills including, critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines. 

Nice-to-haves:

  • Certifications/Licensures: CFA, CPA, CMA, CIMA preferred
  • Masters in Business Administration, MS Finance or MS Economics preferred

Pay Range: $145,700 - $265,400 

 

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
