The Role at a Glance
This position is responsible for leading strategic planning, execution, and governance of technology initiatives that drive transformation across the Corporate Technology organization. This role is also responsible for managing a technology investment portfolio for the Corporate Function areas, shaping multi-year roadmaps, and ensuring successful execution of large-scale programs.
What you'll be doing
- Partners with technology and functional executives to define and drive a cohesive technology strategy for the Corporate Function organizations across Finance, Actuarial, Investments, Legal, Risk and HR that supports business goals, objectives and key results and regulatory requirements.
- Oversees the end-to-end technology portfolio for the Corporate Technology organization, including demand intake, prioritization, investment planning, and benefit realization tracking.
- Leads cross-functional delivery of large-scale technology programs.
- Provides thought leadership and strategic advisory services to internal stakeholders; identifies opportunities to optimize operations through technology innovation.
- Establishes and manages robust technology governance structures to ensure alignment, accountability, and timely decision-making across the portfolio and key technical requirements.
- Acts as a trusted advisor to finance, actuaries, IT and other business leaders insuring strong alignment between business priorities and technology investments.
- Builds and leads a high-performing team of portfolio managers, analysts, and program leaders; fosters a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with executive/senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies.
- Leads the identification, development, and implementation of strategic process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the team, business unit, and/or the organization.
- Leads and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives
What we’re looking for
Must-haves:
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
- 15+ Years’ experience in technology strategy or enterprise portfolio management that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position, including 5+ years of managerial, strategy and influencing senior management/critical stakeholders experience
- Proven experience in managing complex, multi-year program portfolios with budgets exceeding $25M+.
- Expertise in enterprise finance/Actuarial systems (e.g., PeopleSoft GL, Triton, Milliman ALFA etc.), cloud enablement, and data integration.
- Strong preference for candidates with a consulting background (Big Four or equivalent), with demonstrated ability to shape and deliver enterprise-scale transformation programs.

- Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advocates effectively, readily command attention and respect in groups as demonstrated by people listening to and getting on board with initiative
- Demonstrated ability successfully lead a team of financial professionals

The pay range for this position is $157,000 - $285,600 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
