GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

The Consultant, Onsite Absence Mgmt will consult and deliver on more complex assignments/projects at the client’s location. S/he will facilitate site visits and participate customer presentations to advocate Lincoln’s products, services, and value to client. S/he will monitor and provide technical support for the absence/leave process at client’s site and act as a key resource/contact in resolving client issues. S/he will also manage projects to support the client needs. This is a great opportunity to work onsite with one of our customers.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Facilitates site visits and coordinates activities with Sales and other teams to arrange presentations to promote Lincoln’s products & services and/or demonstrations of Lincoln systems.
  2. Acts as an onsite liaison between Lincoln’s absence management programs and client’s benefits teams, employees, HR, and managers.
  3. Monitors the absence/leave process to proactively identify any challenges or potential problems for submitted claims/leave requests; coordinates meetings or conference calls with Claims, Leaves, Sales and the client to resolve issues.
  4. Reviews requests for additional services and/or non-standard administration and collaborates with functional departments to determine business impact of pursuing various administrative alternatives.
  5. Acts as a resource to Underwriting, Sales, and internal Claims areas; coordinates preparation of renewal information, identifies claim trends, non-core services, client issues, and absence/leave management challenges. 
  6. Participates in internal & external renewal meetings; discusses challenges to the claims/leave process and recommends potential changes for both Lincoln and the client to improve service.
  7. Assists in building the organization’s claims capability for absence/leave claims types. Contributes to the education and development of internal claims area. Identifies and recommends improvements to ensure an efficient, effective claims/leave process.
  8. Provides training to client’s employees, managers, and HR on appropriate procedures for absences.
  9. Provides detailed guidance to client in interpreting leave & disability policies, including relevant federal & state regulations for employees, managers, and HR.
  10. Coordinates return to work with client’s employees, managers, and HR.
  11. Coordinates customer information needs for claims/leaves activities.
  12. Coordinates any other necessary duties with the client’s benefits team to facilitate the management of claims/leaves processes & procedures.
  13. Manages a variety of projects to support customer claims needs.

    • Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
    • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments / trends for assigned area(s) or responsibility, assess the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
