The Role

 

As the Director of Recruiting, you are responsible for the recruitment of qualified financial representatives within assigned territory & market segment. You will partner with management to establish recruiting goals & solutions. You will develop, lead & determine suitability of the representative’s current business and cultural alignment with Lincoln’s strategies, goals and compliance procedures. You will also be responsible for communicating the Lincoln Financial Network value proposition in the marketplace.

 

This role will be base out of one of the following locations:

Responsibilities

 

Recruiting

  • Develops, directs, implements & maintains a business plan to achieve sales & growth goals for targeted firms including having a multifaceted understanding of key contacts, how they market themselves, market segments they target, how they operate to establish relationships &/or value proposition
  • Sources and develops prospective financial representatives within assigned territory
  • Develops recruiting plan and executes on recruiting goals
  • Owns for the overall process for on-boarding new recruits in coordination with our operations and compliance team
  • Provides consultation and education to prospective financial representatives on platform options, and partners with field leadership and the advisor recruitment team to evaluate platform options
  • Prepares and delivers formal business presentations to qualified prospective representatives highlighting LFN products, technology and service
  • Develops leads and build relationships with prospective financial representatives; Provides prospective representatives with continued, on-going contact
  • Captures recruiting activity in contact management system
  • Attends network receptions within region to support recruiting efforts
  • Represents LFN at various trade shows, conferences and seminars

 

 

Business Acumen

  • Determines suitability of current business with LFG strategies, goals and compliance procedures
  • Communicates LFN value proposition within assigned territory
  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert to internal/external stakeholders by developing and maintaining an advanced understanding of LFG's products, services and operational structure
  • Directs and develops business on behalf of the Lincoln Financial Group (LFG) in a manner that supports a positive company image, in compliance with all required rules and regulations and ethical in all considerations
  • Identifies, recommends and implements process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure the proper processing of all sold products from time of sale to issuance
  • Remains current in profession and industry trends
  • Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by:  - Making suggestions for improvement - Learning new skills, procedures and processes

 

Requirements

 

Travel

  • Ability to travel 25% domestically

 

Education

  • Undergraduate degree or 4+ years’ experience that directly align with the responsibilities of the role

 

Experience

  • 3 - 5+ Years in recruiting, marketing, or sales in the securities/financial industry that directly aligns with the responsibilities of the position
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures
  • Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations
  • Apply concepts such as probability, statistics, modeling, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions
  • Works with mathematical concepts such as averages and/or variances
  • Ability to evaluate information and the implications of a course of action or solution
  • Ability to interpret and apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
