The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on an Executive Benefits Associate to join our Retail Solutions organization in a work from home environment. 
 
Background Details
As the Executive Benefits Associate, you will perform and deliver on routine and progressively more non-routine assignments for Lincoln’s Executive Benefits area, independently in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. You will provide high-level service to internal and external partners supporting business operations. If this sounds like a role for you, please read on!

What you'll be doing

  • You will process post-issue transactions accurately, according to procedures and within given turn-around times. You will perform and deliver on routine assignments/projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying knowledge in situations requiring analysis /critical thinking. You will also effectively organize and manage priorities to best execute on current workload.
  • You will provide prompt resolutions to internal/external business partners. You will maintain knowledge of departmental procedures, systems, and guidelines. You will also maintain knowledge of all workflows, products, functions, and contacts with the ability to educate internal and/or external customers when appropriate.
  • You will provide customers with accurate explanations on research, transactions, reporting or ad hoc EB requests to ensure customers fully understand the information and outcome.
  • You will assist with handling priority cases. You will build and maintain a network of internal/external contacts to perform case research and respond in a timely manner.
  • You will utilize all available reporting and resources to conduct research, quality review and provide answers to customer requests. You will respond efficiently and professionally to roadblocks while remaining dedicated to achieving team and departmental goals.
  • You will proactively build and maintain relationships with internal and/or external business partners through clear and active communication, prioritization of issues, execution, and delivery of high-quality service.
  • You will identify risks and financial implications and communicate to management and/or team members.
  • You will follow all state, regulatory and compliance guidelines as required by the job. You will also comply with all company and site policies and procedures.
  • You will identify and recommend process improvements that will create efficiencies and/or help eliminate errors and enhance customer experience.
  • You will actively participate and collaborate in new initiatives and/or projects impacting the team. Additionally, you will support and promote change management of departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area of responsibility.

What we’re looking for

Must-have experience (Required):

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's).
  • 3-5+ Years of experience of customer service/support that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position.  
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding expectations.
  • Possesses a bias for action and drives performance targets to completion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

 

Nice-to have Experience (Preferred):  

  • Industry work experience in life insurance and/or educational orientation in Business Administration.
  • Strong customer service experience; strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use applicable computer systems/applications to complete the duties of the role.

The pay range for this position is $44,800 - $81,400 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
